What is a Motorhome?

The principal feature that sets a motorhome apart from other types of RV is that motorhomes have their own drivetrain and are driven from place to place as their own separate vehicle. 

Motorhomes are broken down into classes based on what kind of vehicle chassis they have been built upon. Class A motorhomes are built on bus chassis, so they have flat fronts and are usually larger than other classes. Class B motorhomes are built upon van chassis, making them the smallest type of motorhome. They generally only have enough room for a few people. Class C motorhomes are built on truck chassis, making them somewhere in the middle in terms of size. They are easily identifiable by their berths, which hang over the cab and provide extra storage or sleeping space.
